Update - Subject arrested for committing larcenies from 6 cars and stealing a bicycle - July 16, 2014

The subject arrested is Joshua Berne Driver, 25 years old from Weidman, MI.  He has been arraigned on the following charges:

Three counts of larceny from a motor vehicle, three counts of breaking & entering a vehicle to steal property and one count of larceny of $200 or more but less than $1,000.00

Mr. Driver remains lodged at the Isabella County Jail on a $21,000 bond (10%cash/surety).

The Isabella County Sheriff's Department has arrested an individual on for committing larcenies from 6 cars, as well as stealing a bicycle.


 

Date and Time: July 6, 2014 between 1:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

Location of Incident: 5000 block of W. Beal City Rd., Nottawa Township, Isabella County

The Isabella County Sheriff’s Department has arrested a 25 year old man from Weidman, MI for stealing contents from 6 different cars in the 5000 block of W. Beal City Rd., Nottawa Township.  All 6 cars were unlocked at the time of the larcenies.  

 The thefts occurred sometime between 1:00 am-10:00 am on Sunday, July 6, 2014.  Some of the items that were stolen include a laptop computer, $35 in cash, 11 pair of sunglasses, 2 cell phones, an IPOD and prescription medication.  All of the above items were recovered by the Isabella County Sheriff’s Department.    

The same individual stole a bicycle from the Coldwater Lake County Park.  The stolen bicycle was also recovered by the Isabella County Sheriff’s Department.

Sheriff Leo Mioduszewski would like to remind you to remove valuables from your vehicles and always make sure the doors are locked, even when they’re parked in your driveway.

The incident remains under investigation by the Isabella County Sheriff’s Department.
