Update:Ryan Thomas Byberg has bonded out of the Isabella County Jail.
Update on Aubrey Wilson's Condition:
Aubrey Ana Wilson’s injuries included a concussion, minor lacerations, abrasions and bruising. She is expected to be released from the hospital sometime today.
The Isabella County Sheriff’s Department responded to a one-car personal injury traffic crash that occurred yesterday at approximately 5:10 p.m. A 1999 Ford F-250 pickup driven by Ryan Thomas Byberg was traveling westbound on W. Drew Rd., approximately ¼ mile east of W. County Line Rd. when it ran off the roadway, went through a ditch and ended up striking some trees.
The driver, Ryan Byberg sustained minor injuries and refused treatment. Aubrey Ana Wilson was airlifted to Spectrum Health Systems in Grand Rapids, MI by Aero Med for possible head injuries.
Restraints were used by both individuals, but Aubrey Wilson was not properly restrained in a belt-positioning booster seat.
Ryan Byberg was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated and Child Endangerment. He remains in the Isabella County Jail on a $10,000/10% cash surety bond.
Date and Time: Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at approximately 5:10 p.m.
Location: The accident occurred on W. Drew Rd., approximately ¼- mile east of W. County Line Rd., Sherman Township, Isabella County.
Vehicle Involved: 1999 Ford F-250 driven by Ryan Thomas Byberg, 27 years old from Weidman, MI
Passenger: Aubrey Ana Wilson, 6 years old from Remus, MI
Assisted By: The Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Sherman Township Marshal’s Office, Nottawa-Sherman Fire Department, Mobile Medical Response (MMR) and Aero Med.
The accident remains under investigation by the Isabella County Sheriff’s Department.
