Under the direction of the Isabella County Sheriff’s Office, the Animal Control Department issues citations for violations, responds to citizen complaints regarding animals, and patrols the County to pick-up stray animals and respond to other animal related concerns.
The Humane Animal Treatment Society (HATS) is contracted by Isabella County to operate the Isabella County Animal Shelter and to oversee the housing, care, and adoption of shelter animals.
Animal Control Office
Animal Control is located in the Sheriff’s Office at 207 N. Court Street, Mt Pleasant, MI 48858. Please call (989) 773-9721. Animal Control takes calls Monday – Friday from 7:30am – 4:00pm. Contact Animal Control for dog licenses (which can also be purchased at the Treasurer’s Office), to report animal cruelty, or to report animals at large.
