Emergency Management

Our Mission:
The mission of the Isabella County Office of Emergency Management is to mitigate against, plan for, respond to, and recover from emergencies and disasters of all types including, but not limited to, natural and man-made, while emphasizing the protection of the lives and property of Isabella County residents.

What it Means...
The Office of Emergency Management exists to serve our community. We do this by making sure our community is ready for disasters, by working with local police, fire, EMS, and government bodies. We maintain the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) as a central coordination point for planning and responding to major events. We also work to improve community relations and educate the public about hazards in our community.

Disaster Recovery Center is now open in Isabella County to help residents through the assistance process after damages and losses suffered during the severe storms and flooding that occurred from June 22-27, 2017.

Representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and U.S. Small Business Administration are at the center to answer questions about disaster assistance and now-interest disaster loans for homeowners, renters and businesses. They can also help survivors apply for federal disaster assistance.
